This site is dedicated to the memory of Jan Egerton.

Jan Egerton passed away peacefully on the 23 April 2014, she fought her illness with determination and courage, since her diagnosis in 2004, aged 44 years.

Jan, a much respected Ambassador for the Mick Knighton Mesothelioma Research Fund, has worked tirelessly to improve treatment, care and support available for those suffering with this asbestos related cancer while battling the cancer herself.

In 2009, Jan presented a petition signed by over 14,000 people, to 10 Downing Street asking for a National Centre for Asbestos Related Disease in order to develop new treatments and a better understanding of the condition.

The treatment she has undertaken on her mission to live as long as possible with her amazing husband, Gary and their much loved dogs, has given hope and encouragement to many through her website and blog www.jansjourney.co.uk.

Donations made through the Jan Egerton Snowdrop Fund will benefit the work of the Mick Knighton Mesothelioma Research Fund (MKMRF).
